The Sea to Sea Challenge in happening between 11th and 19th October and is a fundraiser for The Apostleship of the Sea. We will be treking from the Mediterranean Sea to the Sea of Galilee in Israel. The distance to be walked is 100kms in 5 days with a climb to 1200m. Training is going well, here on the west Coast of Scotland. I commend the charity to you wholeheartedly as it supports the practical and pastoral needs of the many seafarers that visit our shores each year. There are some 150,000 ships docking in the UK each year bringing with them 95% of the imported goods we need to keep pace with demand. Some of the sailors have not been home for a12 month. The wages of many are low and the conditions are sometimes very basic. Not all ships are Cruise Liners!
