Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. After watching Dispatches I looked at a five year old girl alone on the streets in Nigeria blamed for the death of her mother after being branded a witch by a local Pastor. I wondered how my own five year old daughter would manage left alone without money, shelter or food. So in response I will be cycling the three hundred miles from London to Paris to try and help her and others children like her.
Stepping Stones Nigeria is a small charity which has been established to protect children who have been abandoned. They have been accused of being "witches" and are often forced out of their village , tortured or in many cases killed. Some of the children are as young as three years old and are left to fend for themselves. The charity homes, feeds and allows the children to have the luxury of going to school. It also campaigns against the cruel treatment of children and the organisations that profit from "exorcisms" of the children - which can often cost up to a years wages. This is the worst form of child abuse. Innocent children are effectively murdered for profit.

I have now returned from Paris and thankfully managed to make it! With temperatures at times over 40 degrees it was not the most pleasant of trips at times.
