About my charity : Vision Aid Overseas Vision Aid Overseas
Vision Aid Overseas is a charity dedicated to people in the developing world whose lives are blighted by poor eyesight. 300 million people world wide need spectacles to live an ordinary life, but do not have them due to poverty and the lack of optical services. The World Health Organisation has acknowledged this as the leading cause of avoidable visual impairment. Many people who are functionally blind simply need spectacles to see. Without them children fail at school, mothers and fathers have to stop working and elderly people are forced to live without dignity. The consequences for individuals and their communities can be devastating.

My personal message:

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
This year I have  run the British 10k in London, Kilburn 7 in North Yorkshire, and  the  Windsor Half Marathon in Windsor Great Park, and have just run the Great North Run in glorious north east sunshine, all to raise money for Vison Aid Overseas. So how about just giving me one sponsorship amount for all these events. That way I won't keep pestering you!!

I am going to Burkina Faso in Africa again in December this year to work with VAO.

Take it from me your contribution will make a huge difference to so many peoples lives.

 I do appreciate that you will get asked by so many people for sponsorship. so please do not feel you have to give much, because "every little helps"
