Home-Start is the UK's leading family support charity. Through a network of more than 16,000 trained parent volunteers Home-Start supports thousands of parents who are struggling to cope. Our families need support for many reasons including post-natal depression, the illness of a parent or child, disability, bereavement or social isolation. Parents supporting other parents: it's a simple idea that really works.

My story

I have done it! I ran the course in 2 hours and 7 minutes. My target time was 2 hours 30 mins so I am delighted and rather proud of myself!

Some of you asked me to email again when I had actually done the run so here you go, and to those of you who have already sponsored me, thank you thank you thank you!

Home-Start are the leading family support charity in the UK for good reason. I think the work they do is fantatsic and by helping them to fund raise in London I have got to know a lot of the people behind the scenes involved in the charity, got a privileged insight into the work they do, and can promise you Home-Start volunteers and staff are all special, dedicated people who do a fantastic job in helping children get the best possible start in life.
