April 27th Update 

The marathon took place yesterday and I am very proud to confirm that I achieved my three targets:

1. I crossed the Finish Line in 5 hours 50 mins. 
2. I have raised loads of funds for the FHA.
3  I was home in time for Sunday Roast - just !

It is not too late to sponsor me, it was a marathon effort but I did it..

This year my challenge is to complete the London Marathon in support of the Family Holiday Association. 

I have never run a marathon before, so put on my running shoes and embarked on a gruelling 6 month training schedule that will get me to the finish line.  Unfortunately an Achilles injury will prevent me from running most of the course, however I am still taking part (run, walk or crawl) I will cross that finish line

I have set myself three targets:

     1. Get to the finish line
     2. Raise much needed funds for the FHA
     3. Be home in time for my roast dinner on marathon day (I eat late!)

Many of us take our holidays for granted, but there are many children in the UK that have never had a break.  Just £600 allows the FHA to send a family on a much needed holiday to get away from the stresses and strains of every day life for what could be the last chance of a holiday with a loved one.

Memories from holidays can be very important when you are going through difficult times, so please help me raise funds to provide wonderful memories for some deserving families who may not otherwise have the opportunty.
