Story

After a very challenging 2019 and having the privilege of attending Alfie Bears Journey Fund annual dinner, which was organised by one of my closet friends Graham Thomas, in a bid to raise some money for continued research into DIPG in memory of little Alfie Bear who tragically lost his life to this terrible disease.

At the dinner we listened to some facts about DIPG and were shown a slide show of pictures of just some of the young children and this awful disease has taken, I felt that I was truly blessed and needed to give back and decided to embark on a challenge that will be physically and mentally stretching in a bid to raise some money for this charity to help with the continued research into it.

Many people that know me, will see that I run regularly.  What they don't see is that I am currently in my comfort zone and to undertaken this challenge successfully, whilst raising money for a charity close to my heart, will mean me undertaking a change in thinking, a change in me physically, a change in nutrition and this will not be an easy task for me.

So to help support me and encourage me, I would be grateful to anyone who could find it in their hearts to put their hands in their pockets and make a donation no matter how big or small, to help raise £1000 from this challenge.  Together we can make a difference and I truly believe this from the bottom of my heart.
