Hello and thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are running the Silverstone half marathon on 3rd March for Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen Families Association (SSAFA), a charity close to both of us. Michelle is from a military background, her Grandad was in the Navy and her Dad and two brothers (Leigh and Steve) were/are in the RAF and have served many operational tours of duty including Afghanistan.

Rich was in the TA - Birmingham UOTC, and competed for the GB Military pentathlon team, the UK combat pistol team and did 2 Cambrian patrols. Lots of his friends are still in the military and have served on operational tours.

We are running the half marthon with two of our colleagues, Martin Gibbs MBE (ex RAF policeman) and Dave Curtis (ex RAF). Martin is running for Cancer Research UK, a charity close to his heart and Dave is running for Make a Wish which helps children with life limiting conditions realise a dream.
