Hi Everyone
Thank you for all your support in 2008. I succeeded in my challenge trek through the spectacular Grand Canyon, hotter & harder than I imagined! You can see the photo's on facebook and between us we raised £3000.
In 2010 in order to raise another £3000 for CF I climbed the Original Inca Trail in Peru - one of the top ten trekking trails in the World. We went high into the Andes Mountains to discover the lost city of the Incas - Machu Picchu! One of The Seven Wonders of The World. I now only have £700 to raise until I reach my goal of £6000!
As you know my sister, Jacqui Edinburgh has this lifelong and life threatening disease. Over the years Jacqui has had to come to terms with a great deal of loss, loss of health, loss of friends and loss of long cherished dreams because of Cystic Fibrosis. Of course she continues to face these losses and continuing painful & complex health treatments with resilience, courage and hope.
Jacqui is a much loved daughter, grand-daughter, sister, aunty, cousin & friend. Generous and loving and a marvellous cook to boot! It is my wish that Jacqui and other CF sufferers like her will benefit directly from the money raised here.
I also work for the North-West Midlands Adult Cystic Fibrosis Team as an Art Psychotherapist and my work their has highlighted even more my desire to help to raise funds to find better treatments & hopefully to find a cure for this terrible disease. We CAN make a DIFFERENCE!
Cystic Fibrosis research has made many ground breaking break-throughs over recent years for example in gene therapy. (For more information visit www.cftrust.org).
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
