21.2.2010 UPDATE!  Well the Sahara trek is well behind me now and I hope I have personally been able to thank all of you who sponsored me.  It was an amazing trip with an inspiring group of people.  We all had our challenges but I had a brilliant time and would do it all again tomorrow.  I am delighted with my fundraising total of nearly £4000 and as a group you contributed to a very impressive amount to enable Help for Heroes to crack on with their dedicated work in building Recovery Centres which are already opening.

What started as a charity to provide a swimming pool at Headley Court has extended to projects with Combat Stress, building a Relatives House at Selly Oak and more recently Battle Back, which gives patients from Headley Court a chance to get back into sporting activities after their often devastating injuries.  These brave patients and the people who care for them are truly inspiring.   If any of my own children were going to serve in a combat zone, I would want to know that they would be looked after should they be one of the unlucky ones.

So please sponsor me any amount you can - I'll be so grateful for every penny!
