I have just taken part in the Nijmegen Marches in Holland where I walked 100 miles over 4 days (40 km a day).  The training certainly paid off, as I survived the event without any injury and still have a smile on my face.  I have had the most amazing time and it is something I will not forget, in fact I am hoping to go back next year and do it again!

Breast cancer has affected close friends of mine, both past and present, in the last 4 years and it is for those brave ladies that I embarked on this challenge.  I did think of these friends and all those other people who are and have been affected by breast cancer.  So when the going got tough for me - it was a walk in the park by comparison to what those people affected go through!
