Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page.

This page has been set up in appreciation for Blessed Trinity’s (formerly St Theodore’s) sports mad teacher Mick Ennis who is currently receiving treatment for Cancer. ‘Mennis’ is a well-respected teacher. He has taught at Blessed Trinity/St Theodore's for over 40 years and is loved by pupils past and present.

Mick receives regular care from Pendleside Hospice and values highly their professionalism, dedication and care.

Mick has spent countless "out of school" hours supporting pupils to reach their sporting ambitions. He has managed school football teams to 8 Lancashire Cup Finals and 1 National Final. At cricket he managed teams to 3 Lancashire Cricket Finals.

He has been a keen amateur sportsman himself, playing football for KSC, Redrose and others and cricket for Burnley Belvedere for over 30 years.

Anyone associated with Blessed trinity / St Teds will have at some point in time benefitted from Mick’s teaching, passion and dedication.

On Sunday 23rd November a selection of Mick’s former St Teds teams will come together to play a charity football match vs the Vintage Clarets.  The match will be held at Burnley Belvedere – Kick off 1.30pm.

Calling all pupils past and present - Please donate via this page to show your gratitude, appreciation and respect to a former teacher, coach, team mate and friend.
