Story

As a soldier of the 70s with 3RGJ I seem to feel any casualties more personally than most, even more so if  its any of the Rifles, as the direct descendants of my Royal Green Jackets I regard them as," My boys".The Rifles are now the largest infantry Regiment in the British Army and  the commitments of Iraq and then Afghanistan have  taken a heavy toll ,with 60 killed and many more wounded maimed or blinded, these brave young men will need financial help for the rest of their lives. The Rifles are now spending  £130,000 a year to help to ease these young men and their dependents back into the society that sent them off to war. "Care for Casualties" is the Rifles equivalent of Help for Heroes any contributions we can make will help, and in this day and age of luxury and comfort on tap I'm hoping that this could be seen as a bit of a feat of endurance for a 57-year-old veteran and as such worthy of your support. Att the end of April I'll be attempting to run on March the length of Hadrian's wall from Carlisle to Wallsend in 24 hours and any and all donations would really portray our thanks , respect and admiration for the difficult job these guys have performed since the regiment was formed in 2007
