Thank you for visiting my fundraising page in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. 

My mother, Una Burke, died in February 2005 as a result of cancer, right at the end of months of chemotherapy that looked as if it was going to be successful.  Throughout her illness she kept a steadfast and cheery attitude to her condition, which was as much from the support and care of the nursing staff as it was of her own character.  She had the highest regard and fondness for the manor and professionalism of the nursing staff; she would say “they are all so friendly and knowledgeable, it gives me great comfort”.

This is why I have chosen Macmillan Cancer Support as the charity to support while two of us ride motorbikes from the southern tip of Argentina to North Alaska and would ask you to give generously to this very worthy organisation.  We may all need their help someday!
