Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

You are invited to beat the January Blues and come to a great gig in aid of a good cause. Or at least, a good gig in aid of a great cause.

THE EVENT:
Come to a musical evening of crazy covers, dirty bass lines, grinding guitars and amazing vocals as 'Extraordinary Rendition' and 'Frazer goes to Hollywood' take to the stage for a blistering fund-raising charity gig!

We will be playing at the Music Palace in Crouch End, London, N8 9BT on Saturday 16th Jan 2010 (from 7.30pm til late) followed by DJs and revelry.

The buses that stop outside the venue take you straight to Finsbury Park (W3 10mins), Archway (W5 10 mins) and run all night to Kings X and Trafalgar Sq (N91).  Hornsey BR station is nearby.
So tell your friends, banish the winter blues and rock out with us for a great cause...

DONATIONS:
Please leave a donation here (suggested £3 - 5) and a message to get on the guest list.   Although you can pay on the door (£5 if you come with someone on the guest list) - all money raised through this website gets Gift Aid from the government which adds approx. £2 for every £10 you donate.  Not bad huh?!  It also makes it easier for us to work out who's coming!

THE CAUSE:
A couple of months back, our rhythm guitarist Kev's mum had a pretty awful stroke. If you could measure strokes on a scale of 1-10, hers was a seven or eight. Thankfully, she got to hospital quickly, and the doctors were able to give her a special clot-busting drug that prevented the stroke from affecting his mum more than it did. So we want to show our thanks and raise funds for the Stroke Association.
Because of this we’ve learned quite a bit about strokes - and one thing is that in the world of medical research, strokes are the poor relation. For every pound spent on research into strokes, there’s 6 pounds spent on heart attacks, and 10 spent on cancer.

We've decided to raise a little money...and as this could be our last appearance before our lead singer heads off to L.A, we are calling one of the bands 'Frazer Goes To Hollywood'.  So please come along and support our gig!

Ahhhh - go on.....
