Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 6th June I will be participating in a 100 mile bike ride for the second year in succession. Please see details of the event - http://www.castle2coast2castle.co.uk/

Last year, my team and I cycled more than 100 miles from Lincoln Castle to Skegness (Chapel St Leonards to be precise) and back in one day (approx. 12 hours). This year we are doing the same event but with a fresh team and hopefully in a shorter time to raise money for St Andrews Hospice.

St Andrew’s Children’s Hospice provides care for life limited children and their families throughout Lincolnshire, Hull and East Yorkshire. The care is provided by a dedicated team of nursing staff and paying for this care is the Hospice’s greatest expense. It costs over £3m each year to keep the hospice open and running (£1.5m for the adults hospice and £1.5m for the childrens hospice).

Of this huge amount just £356,000 comes from the Health Authority. They need our help to raise the additional £2.7m required to keep them open so that they may continue their incredible work.
