On Sunday July 15th in Manchester, there is a huge drumming event taking place to raise a lot of money for the MS Society. MS affects many people including a close member of my family.

They did this in 2009 when over 500 attended (and broke the Guiness World record in the process). They are trying again this year to beat the previous record (no pun intended !) for money raised and drummers playing in unison. I've signed up to play the same beat over an over consistently, for a long time. Difficult with my timekeeping (!), but good fun, very loud and very very worthwhile
