Story
Not content with running the Paris and London Marathons in the last few weeks Mark and I have somehow been talked into signing up to run 65 miles as part of The Project 65 Run. Neither of us have ever run further than 26-miles and knowing how wrecked I feel afterwards I haven't a clue about how I'm going to manage to run 65, but I guess we'll get there somehow!. Given the fact that Mark's Grandfather took part in the landings and was killed a few days later a few days later and my father was a POW in Germany at the time, it seems to us to be a worthy challenge and a very worthwhile cause to support.
The PROJECT 65 Run to Pegasus is an historic 65mile challenge run from Dorset to Normandy for the 65th anniversary of D-Day 2009. The aim of the run is twofold: To replicate the Pegasus Bridge operation of D-Day 'man-for-man' and to raise £500,000 for the care and support of wounded armed forces veterans.
