The ACLT aims to raise awareness and increase black, mixed race and ethnic minority representation on the world bone marrow registers and to promote blood donation. The chances of finding a match are greater if potential bone marrow donors are from the same racial background as the recipient. The ACLT has raised the numbers of black and mixed race people registered in the UK from 550 to 25,000 since 1996 and directly recruited at least 20 donors who have gone on to donate bone marrow/stem cells to sufferers. .

My story

Dear All,

This was a good idea at first, but hey!

I'll be 'throwing' myself out of a plane (hopefully with parachute attached) in aid of the ACLT on SATURDAY 8TH AUGUST this year.

I'm aiming for £500 but the more the better.

so PLEASE PLEASE DIG DEEP.
