Story

Hello!

I've completed a one million metre rowing challenge to raise funds for a great charity - Macmillan Cancer Support. And believe me, one million metres on an indoor rowing machine is a very long way!

I started on the 27th of July 2011, and completed the 79th and final session on the 19th of April 2012, doing the final 5,000 mtrs to reach the magic 1,000,000 mtrs total. Since then, I've been looking at other ideas to raise funds, and may even row another million metres back again someday!

I'd be grateful for any support that you can give to Macmillan, and you can even donate via text. Send BOOT62 £1 to 70070 to donate a pound, for example! There's a link sent back to you from which you can gift aid, and personalise your donation with a message.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Macmillan Cancer Support and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks!
