Hi all,

Fantastic day and new Pb: 3:34:25.
Thank you again to everyone who has been so generous and sponsored me.

The target is: The Flora London Marathon 26th April 2009

Never say never again!

"Never again" that's what I said (or at least so I'm told - I can't remember much about it) when I staggered, gasping, over the finishing line of last year's London Marathon. Somehow though the pain of that run and the hard months of training have faded into a distant blur and now I only remember the good parts...
The electric atmosphere from the moment I arrived at Greenwich Park for the start. The fantastic support of the crowd, particularly at mile 23 coming out of the underpass onto The Embankment and hearing a wall of cheering, this when my whole body was telling me to stop. The huge feeling of achievement (and relief) when they hung the finishers' medal round my neck. Until that moment I wasn't sure I could do it.
But most of all the kindness of all the people who supported me, encouraged me and gave so generously to the charity I was raising money for.

This year I am asking for your support again to help a fantastic charity that funds research into eye diseases and blindness. The charity has been in existence for more than 40 years and some of its achievements are listed below:
Discovery of gene that causes cataract
£1m for the Children's Eye centre at Moorfields
Saving the sight of premature babies
Breakthrough in the treatment of childhood amblyopia (lazy-eye)
Establishing the UK Corneal Transplant Service

To find out more about this charity and the work they do, please follow this link: http://www.fightforsight.org.uk/

I hope that you will agree that this is a very worthwhile cause to support as our sight is one of our most valued senses, - please give as much as you can.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Fight for Sight gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Thank you very much for your support and also for visiting my fund raising page.
