Last summer, the 10 year old daughter of friends of ours was diagnosed with cancer. She is continuing to receive treatment and the whole family have received significant support from Momentum.
Momentum assists children undergoing treatment and their families in the following ways:
| • | Through the provision of equipment and the improvement of the facilities in local hospitals, where children undergoing cancer treatment will typically spend prolonged periods. Currently they are working with the Paediatric Department at Kingston Hospital. |
| • | By organising events at which children with cancer and their siblings have the opportunity to meet with other children who share their circumstances. |
| • | By offering mutual support for parents and families. |
