Sheldrick Wildlife Trust UK is dedicated to the protection of wildlife and habitats in Kenya. We bring hope to orphaned elephants and rhinos, and secure their future through anti-poaching operations, in-the-field veterinary treatments, community outreach, and more.

Story

As most of you know i am going to Kenya to build a school, i needed to raise £3500 and thanks to all your help i have surpassed that target. Thank you so much!

Now i have taken on a side project to help a cause in which i feel strongly about and that is saving orphaned baby elephants from certain death.

£500 might be a good start? This is the amount it costs to care for an orphan for one month, including feed, milk, blankets shelter and 25 hour keeper care. In recent months, poaching in Kenya has escalated to levels not seen since the 1970’s and there has been a huge influx of orphans to the Nursery.

The Orphanage is now caring for 39 orphans meaning any fundraising support would greatly benefit their work helping to save more lives and protect wild herds.

£1,500 is the amount it costs to rescue an orphan – thereby providing a new chance at life with the orphan and Keeper family? Without this orphanage all these elephants will die.

This is the start of my journey to help save lives regardless of whether it's a human life, elephants life or any other form of life. I am doing this the same as any other charity I pursue, in memory of my amazing mum, to prove that she left something behind to carry on changing lives the way she did!
