Story

Like a glutton for punishment I am running the London 10k for the second time!  Please sponsor me - it was tough at 40, so 41 will be even worse and the training so far has been pretty sparse.

It is, of course, for a good cause - Transplants in Mind.  I became a Trustee of the this small Bristol based charity a few years ago after discovering that my youngest child, Emma, then 18 months of age, had a heart condition that might require a transplant.  Thankfully, although Emma's heart is not expected to recover, now age 6 she is doing well and we hope may escape this trauma.

Transplants in Mind do a fantastic job of raising awareness for the need for organ donors to help save the lives of others less fortunate than Emma.  These people have no choice but to just wait, hope and prey that someone has been thoughtful enough to register on the organ donor list.  As well as sponsoring me please register via    http://www.transplantsinmind.org.uk/.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Transplants in Mind gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Many thanks,

Mike
