I am heading to Ghana in October with a team of people from industry in Northern Ireland to work with a homepartner family to build a house. We will be away for 10 days and the attached picture gives you an idea of the type of house we will be building.

* Over crowded conditions

* 31% of population are below the poverty line

* 78.5% of population survive on less than $2 per day

* 196,000 homes are needed every year
