Story

Hey lovely people! Thanks for visiting my fundraising page of DOOM.

I'm gonna be doing the Stonewall Equality Walk on the 6th of May - it's 10km around Brighton to support LGBT equality around the world. Plus, Mr Gay UK's on it, so I get to drool over him.

For those who don't know, Stonewall are a lobbying organisation who were formed in 1989 by campaigners against Section 28 (which said you couldn't teach homosexuality in PHSE lessons).

They aim to make Britain a place where everybody is treated with the same fair treatment and respect, regardless of gender, sexuality or anything else. They run a major workplace program which lists the most gay-friendly employers and blows the whistle on the rest. They've also recently launched a program to combat homophobic bullying in schools.

I'm looking to raise at LEAST £100 for the organisation, so I urge you to sponsor me with whatever you can - you can either do it through this site, which is simple, fast and secure (and if you're a UK taxpayer an extra 28% is added on at no cost to you), or you can come and collar me and fill in my sponsorship form. I promise I won't fritter away the money on tequila, either.

Go on, guys - you just got your student loans, chuck a little bit this way! It's for charity!

Thanks so much for your time, and wish me luck!

P.S. This site does charge a donation fee of 5%+VAT, plus a 1.4% charge on credit cards and a 22p charge on debit cards. HOWEVER, THAT DOES NOT COST YOU ANY EXTRA - the charity gets the charge, and if they're reclaiming tax it's absorbed into that so your donation is still worth more than what you paid. For example, a £10 donation is worth £12.82 (because of tax reclaim) before charges and £11.93 afterwards. If you'd rather not incur that charge, just donate to me in person.
