Mum passed away in 2001 but spent some time in St Clares Hospice in Harlow. Their dedication, care and compassion certainly made her last days a lot more bearable both for her and the family. Although we've regularly taken part in their sponsored 10K Charity Run over the years, I thought it only right to try and raise some more cash for them by doing something a little more 'extreme'!

So, I'm taking part in the Iron Man Austria Triathlon on 13th July 2008. For those that don't know it starts with a 2.4 mile swim in a lake followed by a 112 mile bike ride and then finishing off with a gentle(!) marathon - 26.2 miles. It's likely to take around 14 hours to complete!!

I'm certain that your donations will give me enough incentive to get through the bad moments of what is going to be a long and hot day!!
