Order the Chamois cream, it's time to saddle up!! In a moment of lycra madness I have decided to cycle (again) 1100 kilometres in 8 days from Geneva to Cannes up and down 20 Alps that happen to get in my way (around 90,000 feet of them). Riding with a group of cyclists called the Fireflies, we'll encounter some of the toughest mind and energy-sapping climbs in Europe. It is physically and emotionally draining this ride spending 10-12 hours in the saddle every day and I'm hoping to raise some much needed funds for LEUKA. So far this ride has raised over £800,000 for this charity. Based in the Catherine Lewis Centre at London's Hammersmith Hospital, they do amazing life saving work into leukaemia research.
