Hi there,

 

Well we made it, the whole 26.2 miles around London !!

 

The supporters were fantastic and the atmosphere absolutely amazing. Albeit the weather was not ideal, way to hot for running…...but great for a BBQ!

 

Anna and I decided in the end to run the race together so we both crossed the finish line at the same time, 5 hours 21 minutes. Way off our expected finishing time, but hey, in that heat who can blame us. So sorry to anyone who had a bet on who would finish first.

 

I suffered badly from cramp in my back and shoulders around mile 18 so had to walk for a bit but managed to run the last few miles to the finish line. And what a feeling when you finally cross that line!!

 

More importantly we reached our target for The Anthony Nolan Trust. Still waiting for the final figure to come in but it should be over the £1500.

 

A massive thank you to all those who have supported us and sponsored us over the last few months. The Anthony Nolan Trust, Anna and I have truly appreciated it.

 

Off to Australia for a bit now to recover, then when we get back on to the next challenge…….
