My brother Ian and I have laced up the running shoes and started pounding the streets in order to train for The Great North Run. The Bupa Great North Run, the world’s biggest half marathon and takes place in on 20th September.
We are running in order to raise money for the British liver trust. The British Liver Trust is the national charity working to reduce the impact of liver disease in the . I myself (left of the picture) have a liver condition (non alcohol related) and can appreciate just how important charities like the British Liver trust are. Liver disease kills more men than Parkinson's disease and more women than cancer of the cervix and it is on the increase so the need for fundraising is more important than ever.
