Story

<p style="text-align: left;"> <p style="background-color: #ffffff; font-family: helvetica; color: #252261; font-size: 18px; text-align: justify; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;">&ldquo;Increase your seeking of forgiveness in your homes, whilst at&nbsp;your tables, in your streets, in your markets, at your gatherings and wherever else you may be! For indeed you do not know when forgiveness will descend.&rdquo;</p> <p style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; text-align: -webkit-auto; background-color: #ffffff; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;"><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;"></p> <p style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; background-color: #ffffff; text-align: justify; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;"><span style="color: #262261; font-size: 13px; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;">We&rsquo;re determined to do what it takes to ensure the next generation of muslims thrive and Aim High not just get by. We&rsquo;ve already developed an institute for them, and now we&rsquo;re going to create an environment for them and you. It&rsquo;s called the Oasis &ndash; &ldquo; The place where special people grow&rdquo;. An establishment which will nurture the potential for Assunnah to become the beacon Muslim community in North London &ndash; learning, implementing, sharing and illuminating the light of Islam with everyone they encounter. The Oasis will be your School (primary and Secondary), your Community hall, your Institute and your Space. Purpose built for your needs.</span></p> <p style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; text-align: -webkit-auto; background-color: #ffffff; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;"><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;"></p> <p style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; background-color: #ffffff; text-align: justify; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;"><span style="color: #262261; font-size: 13px; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;">Outside the walls of Assunnah is a community in crisis. With social unrest, plummeting moral decay and a generation nurtured on rebellion, the situation on the ground reached crisis point in the Summer of 2011 with an unprecedented show of national public disorder. The epicentre of this spectacle was Tottenham; A small inner city London district with a thriving yet fragile Muslim community in a desperate struggle to drag up its falling youth from the ground.</span></p> <p style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; text-align: -webkit-auto; background-color: #ffffff; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;"><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;"></p> <p style="background-color: #ffffff; font-family: helvetica; color: #252261; font-size: 18px; text-align: justify; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;">&ldquo;Over two thirds of those involved in the riots had Special Educational Needs and over 40% of them came from impoverished households.&rdquo;</p> <p style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; text-align: -webkit-auto; background-color: #ffffff; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;"><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;"><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;"><span style="color: #262261; font-size: 13px; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;">The statistics for the Muslim community don&rsquo;t make better reading, with countless youth drowning in the depths of gang warfare, lawlessness and theft.<br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;">Assunnah is doing what it can. There isn&rsquo;t a community need that has not passed through our doors. But we&rsquo;re bursting at the seams. With hundreds of children on our waiting lists, and hundreds of families desperate to save their precious children from the grasp of the street, Assunnah cries out for help.</span></p> </p>
