St Luke's (Cheshire) Hospice Midnight Walk · 20 June 2009 ·

Since 1988, St Luke’s has been providing specialist, palliative care and support to local people, supporting them in ways which go beyond the scope and funding of the NHS. Our support begins from the moment someone is diagnosed, through to palliative care and ultimately end of life care.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I did the walk last year (to my surprise!) - it took us just over 4 hours, it was a beautiful night, and the best bit was seeing the daylight grow and hearing the birdsong get louder as we neared the end.

Laura and I met our target of £300, and we want to do more this year.  St Luke's may not be local to me but caring for the sick and  terminally ill is not a localised thing - any of us may need help, either for ourselves or a loved one, so here I go again.

I'm walking in memory of my dad who died of Alzheimer's in December 2007, and in  hope and love for my husband who has MS. If you feel you can support me (come on, it is THIRTEEN point one MILES!!!) , then read on...

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St Luke's (Cheshire) Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!  Just click the button, it really is easy (and secure).  In return I say thank you, and wish you love, light, health and happiness.
