Bupa Great Winter Run 2010 · 9 January 2010 ·

The Scottish SPCA rescue, rehabilitate, release, and rehome Scotland's animals. We educate people about the welfare of animals in our mission to eradicate animal cruelty. We investigate abuse across Scotland and bring those who abuse animals to justice. We are Scotland’s animal champions.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I started running in September 2009 with Jog Scotland.  After finding out from one of the girls about the Great Winter Run, I decided to set myself the goal of taking part in this event.

I have decided to run for the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.   Every year, the SSPCA save thousands of domestic, farm and wild animals from harm and danger.  The SSPCA vets and staff in the wildlife and animal rescue and rehoming centres look after, rehabilitate and rehome thousands more.

SSPCA receives no government or lottery funding, so they rely on public donations to continue their work protecting Scotland's abandoned, neglected and defenseless animals as well as rehoming unwanted or rescued animals.

Cruelty to animals must end and the SSPCA work hard each day to rescue abandoned and mistreated animals and give them a better life.

It would be amazing if I could raise £100 but if we go over the target - even better!
