Team Driving Miss Daisy, consisting of Helen Emery and Sophie Willingale, took part on the Mongol Rally 2007. The duo drived for 10,000 miles from London to the capital of Mongolia, UlanBaatar in a Nissan Micra, christened Daisy. The trip took them 35 days through some of the most interesting countries - they drove over mountains, through deserts, rivers, forests, numerous dirt tracks and before coming home had visited or passed through 19 countries. Sophie and Helen both visited SWORDE-Teppa in Tajikistan. They teamed up with Ice Cream Adventure and Wrong Way Round to collect and deliver various useful items for their educational and sports programs. Helen and Sophie both feel the experiance was extremely rewarding and that SWORDE-Teppa is providing an extremely worthwhile and valuable service to the local community. The team originally aimed to raise £2,500 for SWORDE-Teppa (so £5,000 overall). The other Just Giving page closed around the £1,800 or so mark - so we still have some way to go. Please help us make up the shortfall or show your support for a great charity by sponsoring us (in retrospect!). ------------ Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: SWORDE-Teppa will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
