Story

I COMPLETED IT IN 4 HOURS 40 MINUTES AND 51 SECONDS, SEE BELOW FOR MARATHON UPDATE I decided to run the marathon this year and it has been a demanding, exciting and crazy last three months! I have loved every single minute of it. After getting an injury on the 3rd of March, I am more nervous than ever about the day, but know I will give 110%. If you want to help a wonderful charity, then please sponsor anything, big or small! Thank you to everyone who has sponsored so far! You are all amazing!!

For those people who haven't seen pictures from the day, see my new pic taken by my dear friend Ben! For me miles 10-20 were mentally tough, knowing I had so far to go, but what got me through was looking forward to mile 13 at the RNIB stand to see Ben, Lauren's family and Abby!

and miles 20-26.2 euphoric! I was buzzing. On route I managed to bump in to Ben, Lauren's family and Abby at mile 13. Had Sasha, Seb, Miriam, Paige, Jack and Matt waiting for me at mile 23. Saw Alex and Sophie at mile 24 and accidently bumped in to one of my students Chloe....

Ok, it is the day after the marathon and for all those who don't know....I COMPLETED IT! Hurrah! I finished in 4 hours 40 minutes and 51 seconds. Am over the moon. It was an incredible experience; the crowd got me through. Funnily enough, I found miles 10-20 more gruelling....

Raising money for

Rhino Ark

Rhino Ark

Charity Registration No. 1047083

Rhino Ark raises money for the building of the one of the world's largest eco-fences, designed to fence in Kenya’s Aberdare National Park and surrounding indigenous State forest land, which together comprise a total of 2000 km2. This area is now described as the Abedare Conservation Area (ACA). This not only provides an "ark" for endangered species, such as rhino and bongo, but preserves one of Africa's greatest eco-systems.
