Collectively we donate a huge amount each year to our designated charities, and we make a tremendous difference to thousands of people. Twelve of us here at Mitten Clarke will be completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on Saturday. The walk is a very long way! It’s 24 miles and includes the summits of Pen-y-ghent (2,276 feet), Whernside (2,415 feet) and Ingleborough (2,372 feet). We’re going to complete it as a personal challenge (a greater challenge for some of us I have to say!), but we thought it would be a shame to miss the opportunity to raise some much needed funds for our local, often over-looked, charities which work tirelessly to make a difference in our area. The charities we’ve chosen are North Staffs Kidney Patients Association, East Cheshire Hospice, Visyon and Peter Pan Nursery.
