St Elizabeth Hospice improves life for people with a progressive illness. Our work centres around individual needs, with specialist support, wherever required, at home, in the community or at the hospice. Each year the hospice needs to generate £12.9m, of this 70% comes from the local community.

Story

On Sunday 13 July, mi, in association with Anglia IT Recruitment, have decided to throw themselves (abseil!) off the Maternity Ward of the Ipswich Hopsital, all in the name of charity!  This event will take place at approximately 10.30am.

Anglia IT Recruitment have offered to assist the Hospice in filling at least 40 places and each "abseiler" is requested to raise a minimum of £100. If this can be achieved between us we will raise at least £4,000.

mi have volunteered to help Anglia IT with their challenge and will make up 10 of these 40 places.

The abseilers are:

Virginia Comely
Richard Frost
Alastair Gooderham

Len Green
David Leeson
Craig Lowe
Robert Masson
Andrew Mayhew
Jason Mummery
Pete Neal

Each year it costs the Hospice £4.2 million to run. They receive a grant of £1 million from the Primary Care Trust, the remaining £3.2 million must be raised through their own fund raising efforts and the abseil is one of many events they run throughout the year to achieve this.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St Elizabeth Hospice (Suffolk) will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
