Hi
This event takes place from 4th October 2008.
This is my second event on behalf the National Deaf Children's Society - the previous trip involved tearing around the Amazon in February 2006.
This trek is to the Great Wall of China, which is going to be hard work - especially as I am still getting fit. . I think that it presents a slightly more varied landscape than in York, (where I live) and I believe the wall is also slightly longer!
My daughter Amy was due to come on the trip - but had to drop out at fairly short notice - she transferred a significant amount of her sponsorship across to me - so thanks Amy and to her sponsors!
See webpage below for details of the event:

The charity does some great things for deaf children and young adults and a cause I am pleased to be able to help. I have so much more deaf awareness than I had previously, which has led to another ambition - learning to sign (at least at a basic level) before I go on this event.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The National Deaf Children's Society will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
