This summer as many of you know, I hope to be travelling out to the Kisumu region of Kenya for 2 weeks with KOP - Kenyan Orphan Project, but to go I need your money!

Started by a group of medical students, KOP was formed in 2002 as a response to the plight of the millions of people affected by HIV/AIDS and poverty in sub-Saharan Africa.

The project that our money from Cardiff will be going is the Alendu Primary School. The school is extremely run down and in desperate need of re-development. Alendu is a new project for KOP in 2009. Currently the school buildings are made from traditional materials; principally wood and mud and the walls of many classrooms are simply crumbling away. This is incredibly hazardous for the pupils and many classes are taken outside in the shelter of the trees.

Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
