This November I will be running the NY City Marathon (my first) for the excellent and worthwhile charity PEAS (Promoting Equality in African Schools). 

PEAS is a UK charity that is expanding access to education in Africa by founding and developing much needed, sustainable secondary schools in Uganda.

The first PEAS school has allowed 1000 pupils, many of whom are orphaned by AIDS or malaria, the chance of a brighter future.  PEAS has built six schools so far, with three more planned to open in February 2011, giving thousands of Ugandan kids the chance to get a secondary education.  It costs £130 to create a permanent place for a Ugandan child at a PEAS school.  If we meet my fundraising target, we will give over a dozen children an education and future they would not have had otherwise.  Please help PEAS by donating today.

To be clear, other than NY Marathon registration and agency costs all money raised will go directly to PEAS.  I will personally be paying for any flights and accommodation.
