Two days and my little legs and me will have hopefully completed the Windsor Half. I am excited/scared/apprehensive/proud/etc, but hopefully also prepared! I will try my bestest to do you proud just as you lot have done me proud by raising so much crazy money!
Thanks not only to the online donations, but also to the little elves who gave offline...
Mr and Mrs Hale, who donated £40
Ann Bower, who donated £10
Mrs Williams, who donated £5
... much love to you all.
I'm signing off for now, but hopefully, feet and legs willing, I'll report back after the event on Sunday!
Wish me luck poppets!

Thank you so much for your ongoing support! It's heartening to have so many good people around donating for a great cause.
The half marathon is in 11 days and I am quite scared!! So to mark this momentous occasion let's bump the target again and get me running the marathon!! Come on, we can do it!! (or, you just click some buttons and donate your pennies to inflict some pain on me)
You rock my socks xxxx

So my first race was last Sunday 12th June, and it went well!! 57 minutes, which is a little more than I had aimed for, but I am still ever so pleased! I made the target for the half marathon even before the 10k. Or should I say: YOU did.
I am incredibly humbled by the donations to date, it is fantastic, and I am so proud of the lot of you. My dad would be phenomenally proud. I will run further and harder if you keep donating. At the rate you are going, I'll be signing up for the full marathon. Secretly, I hope you find it in you (and the piggy bank) to get me there. So: let's do it!
Love you! Xx

Dear All:
Some of you may well know that my dad sadly passed away earlier this year after suffering with Dementia for several years. He was a very very smart and inspiring man. And an absolute legend.
In aid of research into dementia and the various guises it afflicts so many people in, I have decided to run the Mersey Tunnel 10k this year. Most of you who know me even at all will know that I DO NOT RUN. Lunch, yes. Drink, yes. Sleep, yes. Run, no. And for this reason, and the sheer humiliation that will guide me through the mighty Wallasey tunnel in my quest to contain my urge to run like Phoebe from Friends, I expect your good humour. And cash.
This cause is phenomenally important to me, and whilst it is not going to bring anyone back, hopefully it will contribute towards making the lives of those who live with Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease a little more bearable in the long run, and guide some whizz kid in a lab to finding the magic potion.
The charity: http://alzheimers.org.uk/
and
The run: http://tunnel10k.runliverpool.org.uk/
the OTHER run: http://www.runwindsor.com/
And for all those with an especially twisted sense of humour, I shall be taking suggestions and votes on costumes for an extra tenner each.
And if you buggers raise a grand I'll do a Half Marathon.
... And if you raise 3 grand I'll do a whole one. Dressed entirely inappropriately for the job.
