Thanks for visiting our fundraising page for the Dads cycle ride on Saturday 6th September to raise money for Mkhula school & community.

We thought it would be a great idea to get as many Dads as possible to do a 20 mile on and off road cycle ride to raise money for this very worthy cause.  Many of the dads have agreed to get out in the fresh air to hone their extreme sports skills (er well ...dust off the bikes at least) now that Summer is here.

Some of the problems facing education in Malawi: Poor resources, few teachers, few classrooms, high drop out rates, the impact of HIV/AIDS on children - including a high number of orphans, the impact of hunger and drought.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us!  Lady Boswell's School in Sevenoaks is linked to Mkhula School Malawi, through Starfish Malawi who are the Malawian arm of the main charity called African Revival.  African Revival gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

There is a visit planned in October this year with some staff going out to Mkhula with Chris Knott of Starfish Malawi.  We want to raise money to help towards some of the many worthwhile projects on going there and we would like representatives from Lady B's, in league with Starfish Malawi and African revival, to decide where the funds are most needed to support the community in Mkhula.
