UPDATE!! BRISTOL HALF MARATHON SEPTEMBER 6TH 2009
Following the success of the Charity Gold Day raising £2.300. Now we need to get sponsoring Sadie for the 6th September, Sadie and her Mum with Lesley ran in the BRISTOL HALF MARATHON for our cause. The pictures are the girls following their 2hr 17 min run raising £360.00 for our cause, still looking very cool in the green Lymphodema T's.... Thank you to all who sponsored the girls..... If you missed the race, you can still sponsor her for the completion and all donations will be very welcome

Lymphoedema is caused by an impaired lymphatic system and occurs when fluid does not drain from tissue but builds up and causes swelling. Most of the underlying causes are irreversible and there is no cure. Lymphoedema is a chronic condition affecting over 100,000 people in the UK and is physically uncomfortable, painful and psychologically distressing.
My main aims for this page will be to raise much needed cash to help patients get a course of intensive treatment which will make it easier for them to self-manage their condition. Donations to MLDuk Ltd on Justgiving will go to MLDuk Lymfund and will be used to help people with chronic lymphoedema who cannot otherwise afford Manual Lymph Drainage Therapy get this much needed treatment.

The Charity Golf Day was a brilliant success. We had 23 teams of 4 making a field of 92 players. This combined with a terrific Raffle raised £2,300.00 on the day. There are still other little donations coming in but this cheque has been sent to MLDuk Lymfund today!!!!
