Story
This year we have banished the month of November in the Kensington Mortgages marketing department, in favour of a hairier and altogether more charitable alternative, Mo-vember!
Week Four update
This is the week that the Movember team have lost the safety net of peripheral facial hair and shaved down to our bare moustaches – and, frankly, none of us are enjoying it any more.
We have all become objects of derision on public transport as fellow commuters stare at us with a mix of pity and suspicion. Our partners are refusing to look at us. And even the office fails to provide a sanctity from the shame, as Mike Cook discovered when he was drawn into a conversation about facial hair grooming with a fellow moustachioed and slightly overly friendly security guard.
The good news is we have already raised over £1000 for Macmillan Cancer Support for our humiliation. But we can raise more, and seeing as you, our colleagues, get to laugh at our faces all day, you are the major beneficiaries of our shame. So it seems only fair that you stump up the cash for you amusement, by giving generously.
