British 10K London Run 2009 · 12 July 2009 ·

We make a difference to the lives of Londoners by connecting people who need help with those who are willing to give. Last year alone, through £5.5 million of funding we made over 940 grants touching the lives of an estimated 310,000 Londoners.

Story

I am taking part in the British 10k London Run on Sunday 12 July on behalf of the Bromley Community Fund and so please help me to raise money for our local community.

All donations will be invested for the long term support of local charities and community groups; whether these projects provide befriending for the elderly, support for young people struggling in education, or the creation of safe play spaces in deprived areas, each shares a commitment to making life better for local people.

Furthermore, every pound you donate and the gift aid will be matched pound for pound under a government programme that supports local giving. This means the Fund can turn every £100 given into £250.   There is £200,000 of matched funding available in Bromley and it can only be unlocked through the generosity of those who care about the local area.

The Fund isn’t about providing one off support, but creating a legacy that will continue to help local people in years and generations to come. Please visit www.capitalcf.org.uk/bromley if you wish to find out more.

You can make a donation here and make my 10k worth every step!
