Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I am fundraising for the wonderful hospice where my aunt spent her final days before she lost her battle with an aggressive form of cancer. The people at St Christopher's do wonderful work with patients and their families and are really deserving of any funds they receive.
The route is 32 miles and crosses 12 bridges over the River Thames. It starts in Southwark Park and ends in Hurst Park, taking in wonderful views of the City of London en route.
This cycle ride will be a huge challenge for me as, even though it's only 32 miles, I haven't ridden a bike properly in about five years! Training has been going well with Dad and I making good progress. Even so, I still have a tricky ride ahead, especially with the map depicting some narrow towpaths and over 2000 cyclists registered for the event... let's just hope I don't have to suddenly remember how to swim too!!
