Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

This time I'm running in the 2010 Virgin London Marathon which will be my 2nd marathon within a year (my 1st was the Edinburgh Marathon in May 2009). It has always been an ambition of mine to participate in this event and I was finally accepted for this run having applied twice previously. So to run this race would be to achieve one of my own personal ambitions as well as raising money along the line for a great charity which is very close to my heart - The Stroke Association.

My mum suffered a stroke in 2005 which was really scary for the whole family and although she made a very good recovery unfortunately many people don't and this charity ensures that those people are cared for.

May I say a big "THANK YOU" in advance to those who sponsor me for this run which I am training for now even on those very cold, dark nights so please dig deep and donate now.
