UPDATE 27/06 WE FINISHED!! JUST!!

Well today was the hottest day of the year so far,  and it was also the hardest race I have ever done. We finished in just under 2 hours as I was swimming against the tide and current the whole way. We were not last which is a blessing.

I perserved right to the end, which was tough tough tough going. I had a pounding head, my body was exhausted and drained of all energy, and then promptly threw up when i got home.

But we finished!!!! I have put this years picture on this page now. Not looking quite as well as last year, but there is always next year to try and break my record!!

I know my Grandad would be proud of me for swimming in his memory. I will do this swim every year I can in memory of him. A huge Thanks to all my sponsors you are all wonderful to be supporting me and the BHF.

Last training session before the big day. The tides are all over the place and its not looking good for Sunday

UPDATE: 18/06

Training has started and the water is cold. Managed half distance today.

This is for the pier to pier swim in Bournemouth. It is an open sea swim and the distance is 1.4 miles.

This will be my 3rd pier to pier swim, I am doing it with my swimming teacher Mark. We did it last time in 47 minutes 38 seconds, so this year we are hoping to manage it in under 45 minutes eekkk!!! I will try and manage it but I am only 12!!!

I will keep you all updated with my progress, training wont start until May, its too cold in the sea now bbrrrr!!!

I hope I look as happy this year as i do from my picture last year!!
