Story

The Mongol is a 10,000-mile rally that begins in Goodwood, UK and ends in Ulan Bator, Mongolia . The vehicles must have an engine size no bigger than 1 litre (1000cc)!!!

Teams are required to raise a minimum charity donation of £1000 per team, which is split equally and paid directly to the rally’s chosen charities. Any donations that surpass the £1000 mark can be donated to the teams selected charities. All the vehicles that complete the rally are donated to Mongolian charities.

The inaugural rally took place in 2004, with just 6 teams, which only 4 completed the course. Since then the event has gained momentum and participating team’s exposure is growing each year. In 2007, the event was limited to 200 places, with the first 100 places being allocated in 22 seconds. Due to this popularity, the remaining places were awarded on the result of a ballot. The 2008 rally sign-up was a similar story.

Luckily, at our third attempt, we have been able to secure a spot on the next Mongol Rally!
