Welcome to the 'Monopoly Madness for Teenage Cancer Trust' website!
We are a group of friends that live together in London in student accommodation and as all 20-ish year olds we like to have fun! One day we started thinking that we should do something different, because those are the memories that stay with us. This way, we came up with the idea of 'playing' a real Monopoly game - since the traditional game consists of places in London we will visit all the streets/stations wearing Monopoly themed costumes.
Since we all care about charity, and Teenage Cancer Trust (http://www.teenagecancertrust.org/) has a personal connection with some of our Monopoly Madness Team, we thought we could relate these two activities and that is how 'Monopoly Madness for Teenage Cancer Trust' was born!
On Saturday 15th June 2013 Wood Lane Residents will attempt to visit every 'street' stop on the London Monopoly board in one day for charity. We have planned a route around London via public transport so we can visit every street as one large group in one day!
Photos will be taken at every stop to prove that we were there and we are dressing in MONOPOLY or LONDON themed COSTUMES to make it just that little bit more fun!
The people participating in the event will contribute for the cause and also whoever sees us and feels like supporting! We hope you can also donate so that together we can make a real difference!
Please support our MONOPOLY MADNESS for TEENAGE CANCER TRUST by donating anything you can comfortably give!!!
Together let's help Teenage Cancer Trust:
- to build the further 10 units responsible for dedicated and specialist support;
- to take the Family support network to the whole country;
- to support the services team that work closely with health professionals.
Thank you!
