The Mission: “Mont Blanc! Why Not!”
The Team:Adam”Tango” Pigott (Team Leader), Rodger Danks, Jamie Moodie, John Raynor, John Woods & Ray Christopher
The Reason: None of us have ever attempted anything like this before but all team members are fit, healthy and all want to make the summit (and down again).
We will be dependant on a good weather window and none of us getting altitude sickness.
A huge amount of specific fitness is being undertaken and all of us will be trained to traverse glaciers with crampons and Ice-axe by the time we set off for the summit.
Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in Western Europe at 4,810 meters (15,780 feet). We are all doing this for our own personal reasons but we are united on raising some money for this worthwhile cause.
The Pituitary Foundation is a national UK charity, which is working to provide information and support to those living with pituitary disorders, including patients, their relatives, friends and carers. Further information can be found at: http://www.pituitary.org.uk/
Thank you for visitng this page, and any donation would be greatly received.
Many thanks,
The Team
